June 2021 Guidebook Reprint

Beginning in 1998, I spent a considerable amount of time scrambling in the South Coast. Click here for scrambling trip reports by the author. This resulted in the self published guidebook “Scrambles in Southwest British Columbia” which was released in 2004. Over time a number of changes to the routes in the book have occurred, click here for some updates for the routes in the book. The guidebook has been out of print for several summers but after receiving numerous request I have completed a small reprint of the original text. The book is now for sale exclusively on this website is only available for shipping within Canada.

If you are keen to try out new areas, this book is a “must have”. Matt Gunn has done an amazing job in guiding you into new adventures with every turn of a page. His directions are bang on as to accessing trail heads, route finding and gaining access to every summit. Your experiences achieved with this book will give you confidences to go beyond your boundaries, and strive for more. I have only met one person who does not like this book, and that is my wife, as she is pissed off that I am away most weekends enjoying this amazing book!
