Great day on the Spearhead Traverse. Fast travel, some nice turns and a ton of beautiful views.
A couple notes:
- We followed the Upper Traverse to Tremor which was in great shape with excellent coverage on the glaciers.
- We used the left and middle descent onto the Naden Glacier and both were in good shape. The left option involved a short section of easy plunge stepping around some rock outcrops to reach skiable terrain; the centre option was possible with skis on.
- The Overlord rock step is in very poor shape, the worst I’ve ever seen.
- Singing Pass had good snow coverage and made for a very fast and icy exit. A couple of the creeks were unpleasant to cross due to avalanche debris but for those that like luge runs, it is in great shape.
